Why should you holiday in Cornwall this year?
Great beaches. North Cornwall beaches are a outdoor playground for anyone interested in surfing, sailing and water sports. South Cornwall's beaches are brilliant for family seaside holidays. There are lots of small sandy coves to explore all around the coast.
Walking the coastal path is very nice on a warm summer's day. Spot dolphins out to sea, lots of sea birds and great sea views all the way round. Spot old tin mines in the stretch between Land's End and St Ives.
Gardens to visit such as the famous Lost gardens of Heligan, the Eden Projects and many others - all with their own specialties.
Tour the tiny former picturesque fishing villages for a glimpse of life in past centuries.
Try Cornish pasties, clotted cream scones, yummy clotted cream fudge. The fish and seafood meals are excellent all around the Cornish coast. It doesn't matter if you go posh or simple fish and chips, the fish is as fresh as you can get. Sit on any harbour wall for a while and watch fish being landed and delivered to restaurants and shops within minutes.
A favourite picture postcard fishing village is Cadgwith where you can watch the boats come in and buy fish in the shop.
